Jeffreys Bay

Known as the best right hand surf break, life here in Jbay revolves around waves, great waves that got all sorts of sexy names. Watch surfers strut their stuff on some truly awesome breaks in mind numbing displays of skill, or climb aboard yourself! In winter the town’s talk becomes increasingly surf orientated as the waves pick up and surfers from all over the world begin to pull in (even the world renound shark Mick (just joking). Jbay is the heart and soul of surfing in South Africa with a terrain of Aloes, gorgeous beaches and plentiful shells, perfect points and classic reefs. Share the stoke!

We were so in our own little world in Jeffreys Bay in those days, our own little bubble, and I remember someone saying to me, You should have an international surf contest here. Look at the waves. So that was when we held the first Country Feeling Classic in ‘84. I remember someone said to me, Is there going to be surf for your contest? I said, Of course there’s going to be surf!
